Settlement Services:

Working in partnership with Punjabi Community Health Services, refugees and immigrants can discuss settlement related issues one-on-one with a settlement worker on Mondays and Thursdays. Languages supported: English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu.

Hepatitis C Education & Testing:

Education and monthly Hepatitis C testing is done on-site in collaboration with The Bloom Clinic.

Healthy Living Workshops:

Our workshops are facilitated by a Registered Dietitian and Registered Nurse from Four Corners who teach our clients about diabetes, nutrition and better health through cooking demonstrations, presentations, and blood sugar readings. Topics vary by month.

Dental Clinic:

Dental hygienists from the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene provide free dental screenings to individuals and families and offer referrals for cost-effective treatment. Remember-regular and early dental care is important to maintain dental and overall health.
*SCREENINGS EVERY MONDAY AND THURSDAY UNTIL NOVEMBER 30TH.

Tax Clinic:

In collaboration with volunteer accountants from CRA, Seva Food Bank clients are able to have their tax returns prepared right on-site. We start booking appointments in the month of February.

Healthy Recipes:

Our volunteer chefs make a healthy recipe for every client shift using a feature vegetable of the month as their main ingredient. Clients receive a yummy bowl of this healthy and low budget recipe to taste. Before clients leave they are given a recipe card with cooking directions and, when possible, a recipe take-home bag!

Youth Art Expression:

This program will allow youth (children & teens) to express themselves through art. We do exciting new art projects each month.

Pop-Up Balcony Gardening:

Want to grow plants but don’t have room for a backyard garden? Our workshops will cover the techniques and challenges specific to gardening in containers. Pots, soil and seeds will be provided.
