Healthy Recipes:

Our volunteer chefs make a healthy recipe for every client shift using a feature vegetable of the month as their main ingredient. Clients receive a yummy bowl of this healthy and low budget recipe to taste. Before clients leave they are given a recipe card with cooking directions.

Youth Art Expression:

This program will allow youth (children & teens) to express themselves through art. We do exciting new art projects each month, and this program will be offered every Monday.

Dental Clinic:

Dental hygienists from the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene provide dental health information and offer referrals for cost-effective treatment.

Pop-Up Balcony Gardening:

Want to grow plants but don’t have room for a backyard garden? Our workshops will cover the techniques and challenges specific to gardening in containers. We also do field trips to community gardens throughout the year.

Arabic Settlement Program:

In partnership with Punjabi Community Health Services and Newcomer Centre of Peel, settlement workers assist newcomers with all concerns related to settlement such as English classes, employment opportunities, citizenship and much more.

Client Appreciation BBQ:

Every Summer, we plan a special event to show an appreciation for the clients we are lucky to serve!

Tax Clinic:

Every tax season, Seva Food Bank connects with tax agencies from the community who assist our clients with free tax services. Accountants from the Certified General Accountants of Ontario prepare tax returns in a highly confidential setting. We start booking appointments in the month of February.

Please contact our programs coordinator Sabina Husain at programs@sevafoodbank.com to book your appointment.
