GURU NANAK GURPURAB
RADIOTHON & FOOD DRIVE
Have you ever had to choose between buying food or paying the rent? Have you gone hungry all day so that your children could eat? This is the reality for many families we serve at Seva Food Bank. Hunger and poverty is real, and exists in our own neighbourhoods. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has made the situation even more acute. Over 1,000 families monthly need your support. Please, give generously.
The CJMR 1320 Guru Nanak Gurpurab Radiothon & Food Drive is the most significant event on Seva Food Bank’s calendar. On 30 November 2020, Sikhs around the world will celebrate the birth of Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh faith. Seva Food Bank is founded on Guru Nanak’s values of chardi kala (eternal optimism), sarbat da bhalla (wellbeing of all), and seva (selfless service). We’d love for you to be involved in this year’s drive to raise funds and food! Please, give now.
2020 is a landmark year! It is the 10th anniversary of Seva Food Bank serving the community. It is also the 10th year of the CJMR 1320 Radiothon.
The 2020 Radiothon will take place on Monday November 30th. We will be on air at CJMR 1320. Please call (see number below) and support Seva with your pledge. It is a great way to commemorate Guru Nanak's birth anniversary while supporting Seva Food Bank to help more hungry people in the community.

TRIBUTE TO A
We honour and remember our friend and champion, Sukhbir Sidhu, who left us earlier this year. Sukhbir and his fellow radio hosts at CJMR 1320 have been instrumental in raising over $1 million for Seva. He passionately spoke on the air about the need to address hunger in our community and inspired hundreds of listeners to give.
Sukhbir's legacy lives on.
