GURU NANAK GURPURAB
RADIOTHON & FOOD DRIVE
Have you ever had to choose between buying food or paying the rent? Have you gone hungry all day so that your children could eat? This is the reality for many families we serve at Seva Food Bank. Hunger and poverty is real, and exists in our own neighbourhoods. Since COVID-19 pandemic, global food prices inflation has made the situation even more acute specially for the poor and vulnerable communities. Over 1,000 families monthly need your support. Please, give generously.
The CJMR 1320 Guru Nanak Gurpurab Radiothon & Food Drive is the most significant event on Seva Food Bank’s calendar. On 8 November 2022, Sikhs around the world will celebrate the birth of Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh faith. Seva Food Bank is founded on Guru Nanak’s values of chardi kala (eternal optimism), sarbat da bhalla (wellbeing of all), and seva (selfless service). We’d love for you to be involved in this year’s drive to raise funds and food! Please, give now.
The 2022 Radiothon will take place on Tuesday November 8th and Saturday November 12th. We will be on air at CJMR 1320. Please call (see numbers below) and support Seva with your pledge. It is a great way to commemorate Guru Nanak's birth anniversary while supporting Seva Food Bank to help more hungry people in the community.
