Seva Food Bank is excited to welcome Vipin Saini as our new Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Seva Food Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Vipin Saini as our Executive Director. As a passionate and accomplished leader with corporate and public sector leadership experience with organizations like Ontario Health and Bayer, Vipin will lead the organization’s next stage of growth.

“I’m humbled and honoured to lead this great organization that I’ve been a part of for more than a decade,” said Vipin. “This is a grassroots organization that makes a major impact in the lives of its many clients. Ensuring that nobody goes hungry in our community is an important mandate, but I’m even more excited by Seva’s desire to address the root causes and consequences of food insecurity.

“Vipin is no stranger to Seva having served first as a volunteer and then as a member of our board,” commented Seva’s Chair, Kulv ir Singh Gill. “He’s already a natural leader in the organization so we’re all very excited to have Vipin step up and take on this new role”.

Vipin will lead a team of six staff members, dozens of internship students and hundreds of volunteers. He may be contacted directly at vipin@sevafoodbank.com.

The Board of Directors also offers its thanks and appreciation to Angie Rehal who has served as our interim volunteer Executive Director. She will be returning to the board to serve as our Vice-Chair.

The Seva Food Bank provides safe, nutritious and culturally-appropriate food to over 900 low-income families of all backgrounds living in Mississauga each month. An initiative of Sikhs Serving Canada, a registered charity, our mission is to positively impact our local communities by acting on the basic Sikh tenets of sarbat da bhalla (the well-being of all) and seva (selfless service).
